Robert Flatley has been the Erewash Borough Councillor for West Hall & Dale Abbey Ward since May 2023, serving alongside Cllr Carol Hart. Robert served an 8-year term on Derbyshire County Council from 2017 - 2025 and was also the Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire from 2023 - 2024.
