Gerri Hickton is Deputy Chairman for Political and Campaigning of Erewash Conservative Association, a role she has held since summer 2026.
Having lived in Erewash for over two decades, Gerri has strong local ties and extensive experience representing residents on Erewash Borough Council. She is an experienced campaigner who has also stood as the Conservative parliamentary candidate for Rotherham at the 2019 general election and Leicester South at the 2024 general election.
Gerri is proud of Erewash and passionate about the services and places that made it so special under the previous Conservative administration, from clean streets, reliable bin collections and kerbside recycling to its award-winning flower displays and much-loved West Park. She believes that listening to residents and focusing on the things that matter to them is central to helping the community grow and improve.
As Deputy Chairman for Political and Campaigning, Gerri helps lead the Association’s election preparations and campaigning strategy. Working with fellow officers, councillors, candidates and volunteers, she supports local campaigns and helps ensure residents’ priorities remain at the heart of the work of Erewash Conservatives.
