Conservatives clean up Trent Meadows

On Saturday 11th August volunteers from the Nottingham Road area and other surrounding places joined Bryn Lewis, Chris Page and County Councillor Alan Griffiths (Nottingham Road Ward Conservative Team) in cleaning up the play and picnic area at Trent Meadows. Many bags of litter and rubbish were picked together with several bags of weeds from overgrown cuttings around the park benches. Many comments were taken from passers - by on the Saturday who echoed the same sentiments that `Trent Meadows paths must be kept open for the walkers, horse riders and cyclists who use it regularly`. A big thank you to all the volunteers who turned up to help with the clean -up. PS the children enjoyed the cleaned up play area and picking the blackberries on a sunny Saturday afternoon!
