Sawley & Long Eaton Park Cricket Club gets £1000 DCC Grant Funding
Derbyshire County Councillor for Sawley, Cllr Kewal Singh Athwal was requested for financial grant assistance to refurbish their Out-Side Nets by Mr Vic Brownett, President of Sawley & Long Eaton Park CC based on West Park, Long Eaton. This cricket club has been in existence for many years offering cricket playing experience to many local people.
Vic Brownett, President of Sawley & LE Park Cricket Club said;
"Derbyshire County Council through their Sawley Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal have awarded Sawley & Long Eaton Park Cricket Club with £1000 financial grant assistance towards the refurbishment of their Out-Side Nets on West Park of which the club is truly grateful".
Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal said:
"I am aware of this excellent cricket club and what it offers our local sports people, it is well used by many local residents. I am very pleased to have been able to assist with a grant funding of £1000 from the DCC Members Leadership Scheme towards the refurbishment of the Out-Side Nets on West Park"
