£2000 DCC Grant funds to assist Sawley Community Association Purchase Chairs and Hand Dryer for Sawley Memorial Hall

DCC Cllr Kewal Singh Athwal was approached by Mark Williams who requested grant funding of £2000 to assist the Association to purchase much needed chairs and a hand dryer for the Gents toilets at Sawley Memorial Hall.

 Mark Williams, Chairman of Sawley Community Association said;

On behalf of Sawley Community Association I would like to thank Cllr Kewal Singh Athwal for his continued support of the Community Hall and local people.  

This is much appreciated and helps toward maintaining this facility which serves a wide and diverse group of residents and visitors.

The recent grant funding has enabled the management committee to purchase 100 new chairs to replace ones broken and worn through their regular use.  

In addition, an efficient hand-drier has been installed in the men’s toilets.  This support helps to ensure that the Hall remains a valuable and sustainable local resource.

Derbyshire County Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal Said;

“I am delighted to have been able to support Sawley Community Association with this £2000Grant from the Derbyshire County Council MCLS to facilitate the purchase of the chairs and the hand dryer. I am aware that many local residents will benefit from having the new chairs and the more efficient hand dryer installed in the Gent’s toilets at the Community Hall”.
