DCC Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal was approached by Sawley Youth Club to assist with funding to assist in encouraging Sawley youngsters to stay active.
Paul Maginnis on behalf of Sawley Youth Club Said;
"This £750 grant will be a superb help to Sawley Youth Club. We will use the grant in two ways. First, to promote physical activity through West Park's Sky Trail. Second, to invest in imaginative arts & crafts sessions over the coming months."
Derbyshire County Councillor Kewal Singh Athwal Said;
“I am delighted to have been able to support Sawley Youth Club with this £750 Grant from the Derbyshire County Council MCLS to encourage local youngsters to stay active and learn new skills.
I am aware of the good work done by Paul, John, Julie, Lisa and other members of Sawley Youth Club on a weekly basis to provide different activities for local youngster of Sawley and I have seen at first hand the enthusiasm of these young people who I am very happy to support with this grant funding”
