Conservative County Councillors Garry Hickton and Alan Griffiths were very concerned when they were informed by local residents that Main Street in Long Eaton was going to be completely closed for four weeks .

Big Turnout for AGM

We had a large attendance at the Annual General Meeting of the Erewash Conservative Association on Friday. Held at the Sawley Memorial and Community Centre, members witnessed Maggie Throup MP lay out her vision for the future of Erewash.

Erewash Conservative Association held their 3rd Annual Race Night last Saturday at the Erewash Valley Golf Club, when a 100 members enjoyed the thrills and spills of a Race Night presented by the Doncaster Races Cinema Services.

Draycott Conservatives branch Soup and Sweets Evening was a success

30 Draycott Branch members enjoyed the Soup & Sweets Evening held at the home of Cllr Val Clare in Draycott last Saturday evening. In the kitchen members and young family members enjoy a variety of Soups and a delicious array of home made sweets and puddings.

Victory for Hazelwood!

Following a recent meeting with Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Candidate Richard Bright, local MP Maggie Throup has raised concerns with the Home Secretary over the number of rapes reported to Derbyshire Police linked to nights out in either Ilkeston, Long Eaton or Derby during summer 2015.
